I have gone there 3 times... and All the visits just sucked*****  Thats the best explanation...I mean one time I was eating and the server asked me how much longer I would take eating ...cause his shift was almost over and needed to cash us out...Then on a seperate occasion the waitress disposed of my sons meal ...and when I brought it to her attention she stated "well he wasnt eatin' it" ...

     Let's see where should I start?  Service was horrible.  We were ignored for 20 minutes until we finally got a menu.  It took another 20 minutes for the waitress to take our orders.  Keep in mind I probably counted a total of 15 people in the entire establishment.  There were chips in the glass of my beverage and I did cut the inside of my mouth on glass pieces that were suspended in my beverage.  They did replace my drink however. 
     My ribs were so freezer burnt and overdone that I bit into the bone on the first bite.  You shouldn't be able to bite into bone remind you.  The salmon was "ho hum" and nothing special.  It then took about another 30 minutes for our waitress to return to our table (or get even remotely close to our area), so that I may tell her that I wasn't paying for the ribs.  I did get the ribs for free and the beverage for free, however, I wasn't going to wait around for another hour to get another meal; especially since the first one was so horrendous.  Waitress....no tip.  Manager...a speaking to, and it didn't seem like he really cared too much.  Our meal ended up only costing $10.10 after the discounts.  I dropped a ten dollar bill and we left in disgust.  Never never again will we eat at Lonestar in Centreville.  EVER.

This is addressed to the previous posters, and all those like-minded.
I have been working in restaurants like Lone star for over 3 years.
I have a college degree, I have worked in other jobs as well, but waitressing pays the loans on my UVA degree. So number one, drop your assumptions that servers are stupid, because half the time it is people like YOU driving US crazy, not the other way around.  Every restaurant has their share of sloppy or poor servers, without a doubt.  But it would take something huge to prompt me not to tip. If a server set my FACE on FIRE, I would at least leave 15%.  The waitress mentioned actually owed 10 cents on your meal.  What you may not realize is she tips OUT on your food-we are responsible, in the restaurant industry, for paying for busboys, bartenders, hostesses, server assistants...and when you don't leave us any tip, it actually COSTS US MONEY to serve you.  You're probabnly thinking, well who cares, you get paid a salary. Not a fact.  For the last 3 weeks I, like many others, have received a zero dollar check. I make 2.13 an hour, and I often receive not a dime of that, as it is taken away for taxes. 
I am not justifying server horror stories at Lone Star.  However, I am asking you to think twice before you ask someone else to pick up the tab for your meal.  Sadly, for people like you, there is such a thing as a free lunch.

does anyone know why Lonestar closed down? i mean yeah i know that the service rarely was Excellent - but***** the FOOD was good  - especially the Cheese Fries!!!
